Chloroquine and proguanil were continued until 4 weeks after travel. Subjects recorded taking doses on diary cards, and compliance was assessed by review of returned drug. Has anyone had hearing problems on Hydroxychloroquine. - NRAS I have had the ringing in my left ear and haven't taken Hydroxywhatsit for about a year. I heard that Methotrexate can cause this problem but I have also had a bad ear infection before the Tinnitus. I have had a brain scan which showed nothing. Looks like I may be stuck with this for life.
