    Does prednisone cause headaches

I was taking 20mg prednisone twice daily for 3 weeks, and my last dose was monday night. Today is Thursday, and I am developing an itchy rash over my whole body, do you think it is related? Also, my heart rate is also 104 at rest and I have a dull headache. FIrst of all - I had no energy booster (I took it for fatigue and vertigo this time). I've slept almost all day yesterday and all night (rare with medrol! ) and am still feeling awfully: headache is killing me, I'm very dizzy and lightheaded, and I'm soooo tired! How long might it take for steroids to kick in and withdrawal effects to go away? There are chat forums where people share their suffering, and even the manufacturer's web site indicates there can be withdrawal symptoms of dizziness, nausea and headache. Last night, my wife was talking to a nurse friend of hers who said she's seen many patients who've had this problem after taking the Transderm Scop patch and while it apparently usually does resolve itself, it can take weeks or longer to do so. Hi, I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've tried to get off Paxil recently and had the WORST problems. I am 25 & am on Prednisone(60mg),salasapyrin(500mg)& Plaquenil(200mg) per day. I am swollen in the face & neck & hate what it is doing to my face. Crohn's disease is a systemic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) of unknown cause, that results in chronic inflammation of the intestinal tract. It can affect the entire gastrointestinal tract from mouth to anus, and can also cause complications outside of the gastrointestinal tract. There is no known medical or surgical cure for Crohn's disease, but there are many medical... I suffer from headaches daily (for nearly a year now - sometimes just annoying and sometimes pretty intense)-- the drs still have not determined the cause -- they started not long after I had tapered off the prednisone also. I recommend that you tell your dr about the headaches soon (as I've learned after all the testing I've been sent for) they may stem from a disturbance in your cortisol levels (this can happen as a result of being on prednisone), anemia "low iron", or a possible side affect to other medication -- quite common with Sulfasine (not sure of sp) I have been told. I am down on my last week or so tapering off the prednisone and my life has been one large headache these past couple of weeks. the pharmacist said it would improve in a few weeks and in my case since i was on the steroid so long it may even take a few months for my body's chemicals to balance back out. In my case - none of these -- but worth checking on. I experienced bad headaches almost on a daily basis for a couple of weeks when I was decreasing the amount of prednisone I was taking. I wake up with what feels like the worlds worst hangover but haven't been drinking. I have been sleeping in later because of the headaches but they haven't been going away. I have to keep telling myself that I am lucky that the prednisone took the flare up away because along with that pill I have had numerous other problems. I spoke with my doctor today and she believes it is not related! I usually don't get a lot of headaches so I'm pretty sure it was connected to me coming off of being on the steroids for about 2 months. I don't normally get headaches so I can't believe that it could be something else, especially since headaches are a known side effect while on the medication. Yes,after I got off my preds I had bad headaches for days & nights I could not move my head at all. i do feel better and my diorrhea is controlled, but im havin sum side effects !

Sexual impotence is just one of the many symptoms that a person can experience with diabetes. According to the National Institutes of Health, approximately 10 percent of men with type 1 diabetes have erectile dysfunction as a common complication. A study was done with 188 patients to see if sildenafil citrate, the drug that is marketed as Viagra, was able to improve the overall quality of erections. The results were significant in comparison to the patients who were given the placebo. Headaches, flushing, and dyspepsia were seen as adverse effects, though these were in low numbers. The conclusion of the study showed that sildenafil citrate was in fact effective for erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil citrate helps to reduce the blood pressure in diabetic patients. When this occurs, it allows for hypertension to be controlled. Sex and diabetes Diabetes UK What Does Viagra and Type 2 Diabetes Have To Do With One Another.
